Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one time, without having to switch devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer at a modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time with the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For automated vacuum cleaner , you can decide to let the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models can't. The only issue it has is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but just a glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station features a handy LCD screen that displays when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, using a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand however we would have liked to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or mop clean, when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. The model of this year features two agitators built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two I tried, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its path automatically and clean the objects, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only downside I've discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its clever design permits customised and efficient cleaning while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush which lets it get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. It also allows the robot to access furniture with a low profile which makes it a great option for apartments or condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice touch that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is intuitive and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, switch modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is filled and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. automatic vacuum is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature in its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous features that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list - at 4kg however it's not overly heavy either, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
